The NAMSS Medical Services Management (CPMSM) Certification Preparation Workshop is a two-week interactive program designed to help you assess your knowledge of the CPMSM exam content areas and identify areas in which additional study may be necessary before you take the exam.   This comprehensive workshop provides a high-level overview of the exam topics including, but not limited accreditation and regulatory compliance; management of the credentialing processes; privileging, enrollment; medical staff services administration; risk management; information management; and medical staff services operations, reviewed from the perspective of a variety of health care settings including hospitals, managed care organizations, ambulatory care settings and CVOs.

Participants will work through a series of online modules supplemented with four live sessions facilitated by experienced NAMSS instructors, Melissa Walters, MHA, FMSP, CPMSM, CPCS, and Faith Rhoades, MMHC, CPMSM, CPCS, FMSP.  A key focus of the course is your development of a personalized study plan for post-workshop study and preparation to take the examination.   The course includes access to supplementary resources to help you prepare for the exams.

• Session 1: Monday, July 17, 2023, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., PST
• Session 2: Thursday, July 20, 2023, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., PST
• Session 3:  Monday, July 24, 2023, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., PST
• Session 4:  Thursday, July 27, 2023, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., PST

*Live sessions will be recorded and available for viewing, but make-up sessions will not be offered.   Registration will be first-come, first-served. 

**This course is eligible for 14 NAMSS CE credits.

***Fall CPMSM Testing Period:   Application Opening:  Monday, July 31, 2023; Application Deadline: Friday, September 8, 2023; Final Application Deadline (with late fee): Friday, September 29, 2023; Testing Period: Saturday, October 28 – Saturday, November 18, 2023.  Spring Testing Period:  Application Opening: Monday, November 20, 2023; Application Deadline:  Wednesday, January 31, 2024; Final Application Deadline (with late fee): Wednesday, February 21, 2024; Testing Period: Wednesday, June 26 through Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
