The Medical Staff Credentials Coordinator supports the goals of the Organization and the Medical Staff Services Department by ensuring quality patient care through appropriate credentialing of Physicians and Allied Health Professionals.  In compliance with regulatory bodies (Joint Commission, CMS, federal and state), as well as the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, policies and procedures, the Credentials Coordinator will process credentials file and requests for privileges, respond to inquiries from other healthcare organizations, and interface with internal and external customers on day-to-day credentialing and privileging issues as they arise.  This position works under the direct supervision of the Manager of Medical Staff Services.

QUALIFICATIONS
Dominican Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Credentials Coordinator with the following qualifications:
•Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
•Knowledge of TJC and CMS accreditation standards.
•Knowledge of medical credentialing and privileging procedures and standards.
•Working knowledge of clinical and/or hospital operations and procedures.
•Ability to analyze, interpret and draw inferences from research findings, and prepare reports.
•Ability to use independent judgment to manage and impart confidential information.
•Database management skills including querying, reporting, and document generation.
CPCS certification is preferred.
