The Director of Medical Staff Services provides leadership and directs the hospital medical staff services functions for Tri-City Regional Medical Center. Accountable for developing and implementing credentialing, programmatic objectives, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and legal requirements, and reduce risk to Tri-City. Serves as a resource and works collaboratively with medical staff committees and senior management to ensure consistent application of credentialing and privileging policies. Ensures that the department maintains DNV accreditation.
Education, Training, and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in health care or related field and/or a minimum of five years experience in Medical Staff Services Administration. Current certification as a Certified Professional in Medical Services Management ('CPMSM") and Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist ("CPCS") by the National Association of Medical Staff Services ("NAMSS") preferred and a minimum three years supervisory experience required.
