JOB SUMMARY

Area supervision for medical staff services including meeting management, credentialing, re-credentialing, medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, policies and procedures development and revision. Responsible for departmental operations, budgeting, planning, development of information systems and coordination of information flow with other departments and the medical and allied health staffs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Associate Degree in Medical Staff Services, Business Administration, or Hospital Administration. Or equivalent experience of five (5) years of managing the full spectrum of Medical Staff Services may be used in lieu of education requirements. Preferred Bachelor’sDegree.

Experience: Three years (3) of management experience.

Training: At least 50 hours of continuing education in Medical Staff Services over the past three years is required. Documentation of renewal of CPMSM or CPCS certification is acceptable in lieu of documentation of CEUs.

License/Certification: Certified Professional Medical Staff Manager (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS). CPMSM is preferred.
