POSITION SUMMARY

Provides managerial leadership for all aspects of the CVO (CredentialsOnLine) business unit.  Directs the day-to-day activities of the CVO to profitability fulfill client contracts for provider credentialing and monitoring services.  Provides guidance, direction and information to non CVO staff (sales, product management, development and client services) with respect to compliance with credentialing and accreditation standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES – (The below listed duties are not all inclusive. This position must also perform other duties as assigned.):

1.         Directs the day to day activities of the CVO to deliver client contracted provider credentialing and monitoring obligations.

2.         Supervises direct reporting staff.

3.         Directs the CVO’s preparation for the bi-annual NCQA survey.

4.         Reviews, analyzes and responds to client quality issues and concerns.

5.         Reviews, analyzes and responds to client inquiries and questions regarding compliance with NCQA, TJC and related accreditation standards.

6.         Provides guidance and support to Echo sales team members selling CVO services.

7.         Directs the review of CVO policies, procedures and EchoCredentialing business processes to achieve quality and operational goals.

8.         Ensures CVO compliance with current NCQA, TJC and related accreditation standards.

9.         CVO liaison with the NCQA, TJC and related accreditation organizations.

10.       Chairs the CVO Quality Committee.

11.       CVO department budget / cost center responsibility.

12.       Performs special projects as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: What specialized, technical, or practical knowledge, skills, experience or abilities are needed to perform the job.  (Include degrees, certificates, licenses, or other bona fide job qualifications.)

A.         KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1.         CPCS or CPMSM Certification (Preferably both)

2.         5 years of successful managerial leadership of a healthcare credential verification organization (CVO).

3.         Department / division budget accountability (revenue and expense).

4.         Demonstrated success supervising and delivering excellent customer service / satisfaction.

5.         Excellent knowledgeable of NCQA, TJC, AAAHC, CMS and related provider and healthcare organization (HCO) credentialing standards.

6.         Demonstrated success establishing efficient credentialing business processes using contemporary commercial provider credentialing software (preferably EchoCredentialing system).

7.         Successfully managed a CVO through an NCQA accreditation survey.

8.         Demonstrated managerial success.

1.         Excellent planning, communication and analytical skills.

C.        ABILITIES REQUIRED (work characteristics, behaviors, leadership abilities, etc.):

1.         Highly organized and flexible, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

2.         Extensive phone and computer usage.

3.         Could lift up to 20 lbs.

4.         This position is primarily sedentary in a normal office environment.
