JOB SUMMARY

The Credentials Coordinator coordinates the Medical Staff Credentialing Function, including coordination of activities of the Credentials Committee, processing of re-appointments, and other activities related to credentialing for the medical staff and the allied health staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduate. Minimum of three (3) years experience in the medical staff services office or related department of a health care facility. Typing, shorthand/speedwriting required. Basic knowledge of computers, word processing, database services required. Knowledge of credentialing procedures and requirements. Continuously improving efficiency of data collection and management. Basic knowledge of JCAHO, State and Federal Requirements regarding credentialing.  Knowledge of MD-Staff credentialing software preferred.
